AI Governance · Packages
Fixed prices. Finished work.
Each package ends in something your district adopts or uses: a policy, a trained staff, a board memo, a plan. Prices are fixed, with no hourly billing.
For a single district
All four are under $15,000, the federal micro-purchase threshold for purchases paid with federal grant funds, so many districts can buy without quotes. Check your own district's limits. How districts pay for this.
Policy Sprint
$8,500
6 weeks
A board-ready AI policy in 6 weeks.
Districts with no adopted AI policy, or guidance that never went to the board.
What your district gets
- A board-ready AI policy, aligned to your state model policy or law where one exists
- Staff and student use rules: what is allowed, what needs approval, what is off limits
- A parent letter explaining the policy in plain language
- A board briefing: short slide deck and one-page summary
- One staff session (60 to 90 minutes) on the policy and use rules
Funding: Title II-A or Title IV-A may fit. Under the $15,000 federal micro-purchase threshold.
Pause Plan
$8,500
6 weeks
Clear rules for pausing student AI use, and the conditions to resume.
Districts that have paused AI, are being asked to, or have a pause vote coming.
What your district gets
- An inventory of AI already in use, including AI features in products you already license
- Pause rules and exceptions: what stops, what continues, who approves exceptions
- Conditions to resume, with a review date
- A parent letter explaining the pause and what happens next
- A board briefing and one staff session on the pause rules
Funding: Title II-A or Title IV-A may fit. Under the $15,000 federal micro-purchase threshold.
Policy to Practice
$14,500
One semester
Your AI policy, in use by staff.
Districts with an AI policy or guidance document that staff don’t use. Most districts are here.
What your district gets
- Three role-based sessions: school leaders, teachers, support staff
- A Teacher Card for one subject or grade band: what AI use looks like in that classroom
- Incident playbooks for deepfakes, AI-assisted cheating and student data requests
- A parent and board communication kit
- A 60-day check with your leads to adjust the materials
Funding: This is professional learning. Title II-A may fit. Under the $15,000 federal micro-purchase threshold.
Tool Review
$4,500 per tool
2 to 3 weeks
A review before your board votes on an AI tool.
Districts with an AI tool on a board agenda, a vendor that switched on AI features, or a pilot that needs a decision.
What your district gets
- A data and privacy check against your AI policy and student data privacy agreements
- A classroom-fit review: does the tool support the thinking students need to do, or do it for them?
- Conditions of use: who, for what, with which settings, after which training
- A one-page board memo for the board packet
- An annual check date, so the decision gets reviewed
Funding: Technology budgets or Title IV-A may fit. Under the $15,000 federal micro-purchase threshold.
