Lisa’s career lasted eight years at SHCP, where she taught all levels of studio art, digital photography, art history, and took on other extra curricular roles such as the set designer for school productions, and began a club called SETA (students for the ethical treatment of animals).

Throughout her time at Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory, Lisa obtained her teaching credential as well as Master’s in Education from San Francisco State University.

Lisa now lives in Southern California and works as a distance learning teaching and project manager.

She is continually fascinated and inspired by education, other cultures and places as well as the power of love and the human body. These elements motivate her to be the best educator she can be, to continually try and learn, to foster her relationships as well as challenge herself physically on a regular basis. Lisa believes it’s best to continue to move forward, learn and grow and hopes to instill that in those around her.

Patricia

Patricia

I like to challenge thinking in not only my students but in myself, and  I love new experiences! Teaching is my second career, after accounting. I received my bachelor's degree in Accounting from SUNY Geneseo (with honors) and later earned my elementary education licensure with a perfect GPA from North Carolina Central University. I worked in public accounting, then in finance at a large U.S. Corporation, and then at a regional children's hospital. After becoming a mother, I ran a business selling homemade teas and herbals to Whole Foods, among other stores and restaurants, while managing my daughter's career in entertainment. After that, I decided it was time to teach, which is what brings me here today. I currently teach at an elementary school in Hollywood, tutor, teach distance learning classes for Bantam Global Learning, and I love every minute of it!

With seven years of experience in the multi-cultural classrooms of Florida & California, she decided to pursue her masters in TESOL at Alliant International University.  LaCora is a lover of chocolate, shopping and cute shoes...but beware, she's also a yellow belt in karate.
